Flies

Hi all
We live in the country and have been suffering from the small black fly egg spots ( that's what my husband tells me they are!)
Anyway, as soon as they appear I naturally clean them away.
However, I have cream damask cushion covers and they are on them and proving impossible to clean off!
Any advice would be massively appreciated.

The really really tiny ones? Itchy when they crawl on arms? We call 'em harvest flies. Have you tried a vacuum?

Beware they don't get behind your telly screen, they crawl around for a bit, then die, look like dead pixels:mad:

    Thunderbugs in this area!

Come mostly from the Oil Seed Rape crop but particularly bad this year.

    No advice I'm afraid!

Thank you for your responses. I don't really think I explained the problem accurately enough though.
I know thunder/harvest flies but these are not the same.
These are what I can only describe as 'clusters' of dark black small circles - sometimes as many as 15-20. Thunder flies tend to be very small long tiny flies I think. We think these are fly eggs?? but not wholly sure. The clusters seem to be on all surfaces and clean off solid surfaces OK but not off material surfaces.
    Hope somebody can help.

    It's fly poo I believe.

    Does it look like this:

Yes that's what I thought too, it's fly poo! We mostly get it around light shades and on some of my higher kitchen cupboards. I just wipe it away with a cloth. Unfortunately my cat and dog are not so quick at catching the flies, so need a good fly swat!
