About a month ago I made 2 purchases on mightydeals website. The reason I purchased them separate was because I had 2 £5 mighty cash to use. The items were £10.99 each and with the £5 off they showed I was paying £5.99 each. I used my existing credit card and paid for the items.
I received my credit card statement the other day which showed I had made 1 purchase of £21.98. I contacted mightydeals and they say I didn't use any mighty cash.
I contacted my credit card company who said that mighty deals do not put payments through live, and manually put them through later and have grouped the 2 together using the full amount and not the discounted amout.
Mightydeals have agreed to give me £10 mighty cash on my account as long as I make another purchase and use it within 7 days. They refuse to refund the £10 to my credit card.
My credit card company has advised me to close my account and not use the website, and are sending me a claim form to fill in.
If you do have to use mightydeals then the safest way is with PayPal as the payments are live and you can see exactly what you are paying.
The safest way is to avoid mightydeals completely and close your account.
