What's this on my wall??

Ok so apparently it's an alam but what does it do?? It's in the bedroom next to the doorframe. I don't dare push the big red button!

Anyone know for sure..?

    It is a Panic Button.

One press and it sets the house alarm off wether it is set or not.

The keyhole is to reset the red top. (The house alarm will still have to be reset at the alarm box)
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

Yep, panic button. My parents have theirs by the front door in case if an unwelcome visitor and the key resets it in the keyhole.

I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
  • Haha thanks guys!! We'll we don't have a key for it so I certainly won't be pressing it any time soon!

In any case, whenever a house alarm goes off around here people just tut and ignore it!

You dont live around the back of me do you ? Burglar alarm going off there last weekend for 4 hours non stop.
Complained to council and by the time they got here it had stopped so they didnt do anything.

Started back up again 15 mins after they left so I went around to the offending blinking thing and disconnected the speaker on it :j

It is annoying isn't it. But it also makes me question the value of burglar alarms - they are completely ignored here so are they really a deterrent?
