Which type of dishwasher?

We want to put a dishwasher in the kitchen but aren't sure which type to buy. It will be going under a counter (there is a large cupboard already there) so do we need a free standing type or integrated?

Thank you in advance from a newbie poster. :D

More choice with free standing . But it depends on the rest of appliances. Are they integrated?

No, they are not integrated. Where I want to put the dishwasher is an unused and quite square/large cupboard. Ideally I would have the dishwasher installed and just use the current door that is on the cupboard.

I suppose my question is if freestanding need to be freestanding (out of any confined space) for some reason, such as ventilation etc...

Freestanding is more often used touching or very close to something else ( another appliance or wall or cupboard) The gap at the top is also fairly small. So how big is the cupboard ?

The cupboard is approx. (I could be off +/- a mm or so) - 85cm High x 55cm Deep x 52cm (door bits 'on') Wide / 60cm (door bits 'off')

Full size dishwashers are 60 cms , looks like your cupboard is a little small
