It may well have been defrosted before being put on sale0 -
We used to buy the Duchy Organic semi skimmed from Waitrose (usually when it was knocked down in price) and it was noticeably more creamy than the ordinary supermarket brands. A couple of weeks ago, we bought a massive (3 litres?) container of Yeo Valley semi skimmed organic for 55p!!!!, and it was really lovely - I had a pint of it, and I hardly ever drink milk on its own.:)
I must remember to check the fat levels on different brands, but I can definitely tell the difference.0 -
I've not noticed any difference, but we get most of our milk from the milkman, and if we need more, we generally buy Calon Wen organic.0

I don't know but the OP could be right.
I can't stand fresh skimmed milk as I find it too watery.
But I can easily drink 1% fresh milk or skimmed UHT milk. The more I live, the more I learn.

How little I know.!!0 -
It would result in such a massive scandal if the supermarkets were watering down milk that it wouldn't be worth them trying it.0

I would be looking at the nutritional values for things like calcium. That should be about the same as full fat milk. Full 4% fat milk watered down to make 2% fat milk would have half the amount of calcium.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
