A USA Chromecast will it work in UK

I'm currently in America and was thinking about buying a chromecast here. Anybody bought one in the states and will it function properly in the UK when i return?

Is it worth the effort, when Amazon will deliver one to your door?

They are $30 here

Cheap enough at that price about £30 here .
But duty and VAT to be considered and if it does not work you return it to the USA .

Will work fine as long as long as your TV has USB socket to power it as it will come with a US mains plug.

Plug it into a phone charger, the EEC/EU have their faults but not on universal chargers unless you want to charge une pomme.

Its not cheaper over there just a risk of being accepted on warranty.
