Thermaltake Toughpower 750W for around £80 - better PSU than the Corsair. Good luck with ebuyer returns... i hope their level of service has improved since i last used them!Faith is believing what you know ain't so...0

Well the person who made it says the only way to do it is, to have current one picked up by eBuyer and then wait for them to receive it, then wait for a new one.
I need the computer, so what I'm going to do is raise some money for a new PSU, order it, replace it, then have the old one picked up and get a refund for it (via the person who built).
Do you really think it's worth paying £80 for the 750W? Will I really need it? Can't find it on eBuyer too.. Anywhere else reaosnable that will accept payment via PayPal?0 -
Well the one you got cost £70... check out this list of PSUs - i'd recommend anything from Tier 3 and above for your purposes.
Komplett sell the PSU I suggested but they don't use paypal. I didn't search ebuyer for it, because I refuse to use them.Faith is believing what you know ain't so...0 -
Guys any advice on speeding this system up.. As its slowed down so much since I bought it, extractings rars takes ages, and it slows down the system so much..
And running slow in general.0 -

And running slow in general.?
That's unusual for a new system of that spec & a freshly installed OS (btw, the last time I reinstalled my OS was 2 years ago & it appears as quick & responsive now - & my spec is nowhere near yours).
Is it like that only when extracting rars/zips? If yes, try other free alternatives like 7-Zip / IZArc (my favourite).
If it's still slow/slow overall, then steps in the Malware/Spyware Removal Guide shoud be the next thing to try - this is to rule out any infection.
If no joy with the above, I'd suggest starting a new thread, not forgetting to state your system spec & how old the PC is. G
