Phone or online for switching?

I noticed a couple of posts about the Co-op being cheaper than Eon so did some comparing and I can save a couple £100 so I am going to switch to the Co-op from Eon.

So would I be better contacting the Co-op on-line or phoning them on their 0800 number tomorrow morning?

As far as I know the Co-op do not currently have cashbacks from Top or elsewhere. And after Ofgem's shenanigans they are not likely to restart in the short or medium term.

I would just apply online - less hassle than paying to talk with (and paying to wait to talk with) an operator who may disagree with your proposed initial usage.

I signed my FIL up online with the Co-Op Home Phone a few months back. Did it online, and the line was reconnected within a week. DD and online a/c set up efficiently and without any problems.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Co-op energy is an entirely different co-op to the phone co-op.
