iDIOT THREAD

Caps intentional ;);)

As simple as this, how do I grab all the messages in my junk box and delete them in 1 tap?

Please forget the delete all messages button, I can't find it
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

Where are you viewing these (mail?) messages? MSE? Windows Mail? Thunderbird? Outlook?
    All clues are helpful!

The usual way is to click on the top message; hold down the Shift key while scrolling down, then click on the bottom message. This should cause all those messages to be highlighted. Now press the Delete button. If that doesn't work, more info is needed.

It's Thunderbird Mozzilla or similar, so highlight the top message, hold down the big button with the up arrow on it and drag down to or past the bottom massage then click the bottom 1?

    Will try it next time

I don't know Thunderbird, but in Outlook I can right-click on the 'Junk' folder and I get an option to 'Empty Junk folder'. Maybe T'bird has something like that.

Indeed it does, right click on the Deleted folder and one of the options is Empty Deleted, which does just what it says.

    Yet another option ...

click a message ... any message in the deleted items ... press Ctrl and A at the same time
That will highlight all the messages
Either right click and choose 'delete selected messages' or press the delete key

    :)

Or the universal shortcut in almost every program CTRL+A to select everything and then hit delete.

You can also right-click on the "Junk" folder and select "Empty Junk".

Last but not least you can specify a retention policy for each folder. Right-click on that folder -> Properties -> "Retention Policy" tab -> uncheck "use my account settings" and specify "Delete messages more than xxx days old". I do that and never need to delete Junk emails manually.

    Yeah, I do this too.

It will save you the extra trouble.

    Select the top message.
    Hold the Shift key.
    Select the bottom message.

    Hit Delete.

Well, you read the title didn't you? :D:D:D:D

Don't worry, I get the bottom massage AKA ars! kicking everyday, 'er indoors sees to that;);)

Thanks for the advice, yes indeed the junk box does indeed have a delete all messages option, but my junk appears in folder titled Bulk Mail, that doesn't have said feature. Why that is I'm not sure, but I should be ok from here.
