I have one of these (today it's £9.29 on boots.com) which is now in it's third year and is still going strong. I soak my feet by leaving the plug in whilst in the shower, then sit on the edge of the bath and scrape my feet. Strips of dry skin come off (I get terribly dry calloused skin if I leave it) and my feet feel nice and soft afterwards. I use it once a month.
Please note that this product is not suitable for those with diabetes.Whoops there goes another year, there goes another pint of :beer:0 -
Use foot file BEFORE having shower or bath. Use a special cream for hard skin ..... Apply it to heels and then put on some little cotton socks before you go to bed so it really soaks in and doesn't stain sheets. Use the cream every night for about a week and you'll notice a huge difference.
Hard skin on heels is always worse in summer when feet are exposed to heat.0 -
Check if your beauty salon has a qualified chiropodist to give you a pedicure - they will probably show you how to take acre of your feet at home too.0

That price is more within my budget, however it looks a bit like a different shaped pediegg? I have tried one of those and didn't rate it.0 -
I'd suggest going to a chiropodist too if you can afford it, rather than a pedicure at a beauty salon.
The best thing I found for keeping hard skin at bay was this, Boots used to stock it, but I haven't seen it in there for ages, so you might need to order on-line.

There are loads on ebay (new) at around the £10 mark. I didn't pay full price for mine either - picked it up in a bin end at the till in Boots a while ago.0 -

I have just read some of the reviews for this, will be sending for some, thank you for the rec.
Someone that I know swears by the Aldi Urea foot cream, it doesn't cost very much, but is only offered a few times a year, intend to get some for my mum when I see it in storeThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
I saw a review for this: (warning - quite GRAPHIC!!)
It said it was absolutely brutal but worked amazingly!!

I will be ordering one of these too, basically because of the price I will try this first. I will report back on the outcome.0 -
I'm another fan of a foot file, used on dry feet, then slathered with cream.
Avon has very good foot cream, often on an offer, if you have a contact.
I do like a pedicure treat when in the USA, though, and hope to go later.
