hard skin on feet

I just wondered what everyones routine is for getting rid of hard skin on feet.
I have tried most things but nothing seems to work
It looks awful and stops me wearing flip flops.
Can anyone recommend any products that work?
Thanks

I just use the body shop foot file (like a heavy duty emery board on wood). Then sometimes a bit of moisturiser. Keeps my feet nice and soft.
If your feet are really bad, you might want a professional pedicure as a one-off, then just exfoliate yourself afterward as ongoing care.0 -
I have chiropody every 3 months to her rid, then keep on top of it as best I can with a foot file, pedi-roller thing and lots of cream (needs urea to be completely effective).Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0

The Scholl Pedi is the best thing I have ever used. Its brilliant.
Not sure I would pay £30 though for one, I will be looking out for some sort of offer if I ever need to replace mine.
I got it free for a product trial and was able to keep it afterwards.0 -
I use a Microplane, but the Ped Egg is pretty similar.0

I was thinking about one of these but the reviews I read didn't seem very good. The main compliant seems to be the roller doesn't last very long and the replacement heads are expensive.0 -
Go see a qualified chiropodist even if it is only once.
I had terrible hard skin on my feet. Went to see one at the age of fourty plus and it turns out I was walking in such a weird way because of various problems that the skin was forming as a result of the damage I was doing myself.
If I had seen someone sooner I would not have needed all the surgery I had to correct not only the original deformity but the damage fourty years of walking on it caused.
Unlikely to be your problem but get it checked by a qualified chiropodist.0 -

Ive been using it around once a week now for around 8 months - more when I first got it. The roller doesnt need replacing yet.
It gets loads of dead skin off - you have to do it either over the bath or outside cos of the dust.
I have no complaints at all and would certainly buy another if I needed but I do agree about the price. I would be looking round for the best deal before paying full price.0 -
I have a scholl pedi as well and haven't needed to replace the roller yet after about 6 months. I very occasionally also have a professional pedicure and they have commented since I started using the scholl device on how little hard skin I have on my feet. I usually use a cheap thick moisturiser afterwards and sleep in a pair of cotton socks for the night.0

thanks everyone I will look out for offers on the pedi rollers, I can't justify paying full price for one, I will wait until an offer comes along.0
