    Morning :)

Another working week has been and gone. Mine was a day shorter (as off Monday) but it certainly didn't feel that way by the time I finished last night

Not to report on the money front... it's that funny time before payday again. Also trying not to spend much as funds will be tight until I get paid (spendy month - oops!) although CC paid off so that's one good thing

In survey news - I have a PC payment due to arrive and have claimed a £10 voucher from VO

  • Happy Saturday BW  Hope you've had a great day and have spent some time chilling out.

Have you read any good books lately? I've just finished a couple - one about chickens and another about cats...hmmm...seems to be an animal theme going on there. :D

    Have a good evening.

Hi MG - thanks for popping in :)

Were the animal books fiction or non-fiction?

I've recently been enjoying some books by Karen Swan. They could be called chick-lit I suppose, but the characters are interesting and the settings always draw me in. I've also been reading a crime series by Angela Marson about a Detective Inspector. I've read 2 and now waiting for the third to be released next month. All worth a read IMO

I spent quite a bit of time chilling out yesterday...in fact I probably did more of that than anything else :o Just couldn't get going and even cancelled plans with a friend as couldn't muster the energy or motivation to go out :(

Nothing major planned today - mainly chores and house jobs.

    Evening

Funny sort of day today - very busy but not as productive as I would have liked nor very satisfying

I was late getting home from work tonight and I really noticed how much the nights are drawing in. I also then realised that the clocks change at the weekend. I always enjoy the extra hour in bed...but I would prefer not to lose the light evenings. It's always slightly depressing going to work in the dark and coming home again in the dark...:( not much I can do about it though

Only money news is that I have paid the cc off today for this month. Nothing to report on the survey front either.
    Roll on payday ;)

Oh i'd forgotten that the clocks go back. I agree, it's totally depressing, although I do like coming home in December and putting the xmas lights on.

Sorry to hear you've had an unproductive day. Hopefully tomorrow will be better for you.

    MGx

Ooh almost forgot to add - the books were fiction, well one was slightly factual - a tale about a woman and her flopck of chickens...not me ;) It had lots of illustrations and photo's in. Took me right back to my childhood. :rotfl:

I've noticed on my drive home this week it is getting darker each day! Will be a huge difference on Monday. The evenings just seem so short when you get home and it's already dark.

    Have a great weekend BW.

    Morning MG & Cath

(well just about morning anyways :o)
Yes it's been relaxing so far...I've not long got out of bed ;) :rotfl: Guess I must have been tired to sleep that long

This weeks has felt really long...so glad it's finally the weekend. I was busy tidying up last night as got company arriving today and then off into the city for a comedy night later on (some of you may remember I won some tickets a few weeks back - very MSE :money:getting them for free :D)

I've made a massive OP of £1.16 this week. Should have been more but Q'co have apparently had issues with their payment system so the rest will follow at a later stage.

In survey news I won a £2 voucher in a prize draw so have added it to my Am@zon stash and I'm waiting for a £10.60 payment from Panelb@se. I have also been asked back to the RM survey..... finally! :j Start in December apparently. This is great timing as my supply of stamps from the last time is getting low..

    Right need more :coffee:....

    BW :)

    :o *sneaks in looking sheepish*

I really have no idea where the time goes at the moment. Can't believe it's Thursday night already!

The comedy night was a lot of fun. It turned into several drinks afterwards followed by a curry and not getting to bed til after 4.30am :p and that was after the clock change :rotfl:

I've had my some new patio doors fitted this week...and I'm really pleased with them. In fact can't stop looking at them every time I go in the room... does anyone else do that with new things? I wasn't so happy paying for them  as such a large expense... but it was budgeted for so can't really complain.

My survey payment arrived along with a further £6 from PC and sent as OP's. I'm now waiting on a £5 payment from another place.

I think that's me up to date...not exciting lol...

Almost the 1st and that lovely money shuffle ;)

Just as long as you don't feel the need to keep touching them as you admire them or you could end up spending lots of time cleaning. ;)
