JSA NI credits and future benefits

My contibution based JSA is due to finish very soon after the statutory 6 months.
If I sign for NI credits only after the 6 months is up do these credits count towards any benefit in the future other than pension, for example a new claim for CB ESA after say 2 and a half years signing , or whatever the 'relevant' tax years would be at that point, for NI credits only?
Thank you.

No, they are not class 1 NIC's, so don't count towards contribution based benefits.0
