Bit confused!,i am with Scottish power, and on a fixed rate from last November. I know that they did not pass on the full £50 but that the government said that every elec customer would receive £12. I asked about this and was told to put in meter readings and account would be updated, it wasn't so asked again with the response that they din't have the deal in place when government started it. But they have looked at my account and will credit £50 at the end of the year and £12.50 every quarter after. My question is what are they on about, and have they started a new policy on refunds on the green levy, as not all customer's would receive the full payment if they were on fixed tariffs. Anybody got any thought's on this please.

I am with SP on fixed tariff same as you in November and it ends March 2015. I have recently complained to them regarding them not passing the savings on to all of there customers and not just some. Haven't as yet got a reply. I have no problem with a fix you could save money or loose money but they did factor in green levy in there calculation and as the levy has now changed they should refund all of there customers

I doubt I will get anything back but I wont be using SP again on principle and may well go to none of the big 6 in future

Just been on u switch site and and it asked have the green levy lowered your bills. Well on march 24th SP will not pass on savings to anyone not affected by the winter price rises, this includes those on fixed prices when they were first introduced.

But they will make an exception to those fixed price plans that are more expensive than variable tariff rates, following the price cuts. Figure that one out. Hike effective from 06/12/13 so do we come under this as switched in November?

Even with £25 per fuel leaving them assuming there are no price increases before March 2015 its still cheaper to go with some of the independents (none of the big 6). I for one seriously thinking of doing this along with my MIL so that's two customers they could loose. For me its a point in principle and really shows SP for pure greed by pocketing from green levy, shame that ofgem cant force them to do the right thing
