Need help reading/understanding electric meter.
I moved house last month and long story short the meter we have in our house isn't the one on npower's system and neither them, the landlord nor us seems to know whether it's single-rate, economy 7 or economy 10 or which numbers we're supposed to be reading.
Below are pictures of the meter all the screens we get in order, if someone has the same meter or works with them and can tell me what all the screens mean it'd be really helpful.

Thats a real baffler, I have`nt seen that meter before,Eco 7 and 10 meters are usually installed with night storage heating.Digital eco 7 have rates 1 and 2 and T for total kwhrs. You could work out which is the active rate by seeing rates 1 or 2 advances. if rate 1 advances in the daytime hours rate 2 will be the night rate.havent seen screens like that outside of maximum demand business electric meters. Are you sure it actually is your meter ? Npower dont seem to think it is. I have heard of landlords buying old meters to wire in as sub meters0

We've spoken to the landlord and she's said she hasn't wired a different meter in, though it is different to the one that was in there when the previous tenants moved in so she's assuming the meter was replaced by npower and they haven't updated their system with the new serial number.
We don't have storage heaters but we also didn't in our last house and that still had an economy 7 meter installed.0 -

This won't be much help, but I noticed you showed the same display twice, first reading 01152.91, and again showing 01152.92
From that I would deduce that at the time you were reading the meter, that was the active tariff.0 -
I think we've sort of figured it out. The 5th, 6th, 8th and last pictures look like the meter readings. The 5th has been increasing at night and the 6th during the day, with the final screen changing between those two numbers according to which one applies at that time. The 8th screen reading hasn't changed at all so no idea what that is.
I am confused as to why this meter has been installed though as having spoken to the landlord the previous meter was a single-reading one and the house hasn't had storage heaters since our landlord has had it. She even contacted the previous tenants to ask them how to read the meter and they said they were under the impression it was a single-reading meter because they weren't told any different and only ever gave one reading to npower.
How do I deal with this mess? I don't want them trying to charge us for the previous tenants' night usage because they only gave the day readings or vice versa.0 -
Ultimately it's Npowers problem; just ask them to come and do a meter reading. You didn't install the meter - presumably your local distribution company did. It's not your responsibility to manage the flow of information between them.
If they can't work out how to read it, THEY will have to come up with a solutionWe need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.
