looking for cordless screwdriver/drill combi

I'm looking for a lightweight cordless screwdriver/drill combi for small odd jobs, since I can't sustain heavy weights nowadays.
The nearest thing I could find was this American product, The LED looks useful as well for when the electrics switched off.
All I can find in the UK is something which looks like a standard drill like this which is a bit large.

Your best best would be to pop down to your local B&Q, Wickes, etc, where you can hold a few, judge the weight. Some get quite weighty with the battery on.
If you do a forum seach on cordless drills, this question has been asked numerous times before.0 -
www.screwfix.com/bosch-screwdriver
that is similar to the thing that you linked to from Ikea
if you look at the pictures you will see people using it is and it is a lot smaller than a standard drill, so may suit your needs0 -

i have the tool you show {got it early last year from Argos} along with one or two others I have bought over the years. As for screwing they do a good job but for drilling into anything other than wood or plaster/plasterboard they do not have the power. IMO the Bosch one {and the one from the OP} will do easy jobs but do not expect them to be as powerful as a light GP drill for brick ect :0)0 -

it is only a screw driver and i wouldn't try drilling any with it
if you want something that you can use as a drill then you need to go for a full size drill driver to get anything worth its salt0 -

I could not agree more with you, I think my collrction of full drills collected over the years would cover everything from balsa wood to pre cast concrete but I did not want the OP to think that it was a "do all" :0)0 -
This is a screwdriver with two hex drill bits. Any screwdriver which uses hex screwdriver bits can use hex drill bits. The nearest thing I could find was this American product, The LED looks useful as well for when the electrics switched off.0 -

I would use my conventional drill into brick or metal. But this is useful for wood/plaster when lifting my arm towards the ceiling, and I can see with the mains safely off as well!0 -
