Teamviewer demanding money for something I know nothing of. Will destroy my business!

Hello, I'm coming here is desperation and have nowhere else to turn. I got a call on Friday from Teamviewer.com asking why I hadn't paid an invoice.
I have a typical small business that is just worthwhile to keep running but this kept me up all night worrying as if they are entitled to £429 I fear I'll be taken to court or have to go without food.
Teamviewer are claiming I put an order in at https://www.teamviewer.com/en/licensing/order.aspx?license=T321 and selected invoice over a month ago. Now I think I'm being scammed as looking at the form anyone could fill in a business in here as no verification is carried out. The thing is the order that was placed had an email address that was not mine. So I received no notification of the order nor details of how cancel.
When I contacted them by phone they just kept saying that they can see that can see that they have sent the licence and invoice twice and there is no way to delete invoices once they are raised so I have to pay.
I tried reasoning with them but they just asked for my actual email so they can send me the invoice. The email address doesn't even exist so I would have thought that they would just cancel it but they became quite forceful and had an air of debt collection agency about them.
What can I do? It is making me physically shake just thinking about it as I am JUST balancing finances at the moment whilst paying in to an IVA. I just need them to go away but they will not reason.
Is a small claims court the way to go? I didn't receive a product and am still being charged.
If they can charge me for this, what is to stop me adding a form on my site that creates an invoice for £100 a time and then fill it out with my competitors details using an invalid email address?

This is actually a business related problem so you would probably be better off asking on a dedicated forum (this forum is for consumer problems).
The first thing, do not give them your current e-mail address.
Do you have a mailing address for them?
If so, write to them stating that you did not make the purchase and it must have been a fraudulent application for which you have no knowledge of and therefore you have no contract with them.
As part of your business, do you have access to any legal advice?
I've just had a look at the website and it's so open to fraud that it's unbelievable.
I could put down the business details for any company of my choosing and provided there was a valid e-mail address, they would send me their product without carrying out any verification checks and without asking for any payment.0 -
Write to them denying the debt welcoming them to prove its yours if they're so convinced. Take screenshots of everything on their site, how open to abuse it is. If they want to take it to court, you deny the debt and send the screenshots of the easily abused process and the courts will laugh them out if the only evidence they have is so easily faked and they can't provide lists of IP addresses, access times, sites used, etc.0

Thanks, I will find a business forum. I tried putting in completely fake details and it worked which is crazy as this could be the ultimate revenge if you despise someone, fill out the order and max the options. Give them your enemies postal address but invalid email and they could potentially have a £2000 debt which may push them to top themselves. But in seriousness, if they can hold this up then what is stopping me doing it back to them for the exact amount?0

They have no chance of ever enforcing this.Tell them to take a hike.0

Do not stoop to their level. If they take you to court over the debt, you want to be able to show the judge you've been reasonable in your behaviour. Playing them at their own game isnt being reasonable imo.
As an aside, I take it whoever filled out the site used correct details except for the email address?
I wonder why they're charging for teamviewer 9.....according to cnet, its free to download!
ETA: their own site has it free for personal use. But from the looks of things, they're based in germany. Cant see them filing against you in uk courts unless they have offices here somewhere? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Well I wouldn't go down that route, but I'm just desparate to get this closed off as I'm being pushed over the edge by their lack of understanding.
The stereotypical German response to anything I put to them would be comical if they weren't demanding so much money!
It like dealing with the Terminator (the bad one who chases the car dressed as a cop).
Me - I didn't place this order
Teamviewer Cyborg - Pay the invoice
I haven't recieved or used your product
Teamviewer Cyborg - Pay the invoice
Me - Can I speak to someone who can cancel this?
Teamviewer Cyborg - They will tell you the same as I will, PAY THE INVOICE. Boom Bang, Bang, FtFtFt Boom.
Teamviewer Cyborg - I only ask 3 times for the invoice to be paid. Hasta La Vista Baby.
I know I've mixed terminators up there0 -
Just tell them you are not paying and hang up, no need to get into a discussion with them.0

Thanks Mike, I think I just needed to read someone else say what I'm thinking. Logic dictates this will just waste my time but not destroy me financially. Good day to you :beer:0 -
Just say no and tell them if they wish to take you to court to do so but you will defend.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
It's unlikely they'll pursue this in court with you being in the UK and them Germany.
Just tell them you haven't used their services, consider the invoice false and won't be paying.
Don't waste much time on this though. Even if they have the audacity to have a solicitor send a letter, just reply denying the debt and ask for proof, then get on with life.
You can't reason with stupid.0
