Does Your House Make More Than You ?

Well observed, if boomers sit smugly counting "how much their house earns" it means their kids will never leave home. Are we due another 19th century style mass emigration of the young, I wonder?0

Trick is to not have kids, they're little life stealers and there's too many of them anyway. If I want a mini me, I'll go to ASDA and get a 3d print out.
But I don't, so I didn't.
We won't have a young persons exodus in London, they'll just get used to sharing more and they might even benefit from the experience.Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.0 -

Thing is I don't think it's the boomers that are the worst for cheering on hpi, it's often those who bought in the previous decade who are the worst for seeing property as an investment. Beeny, phil and kirsty have a lot to answer for.0 -
Houses in Ireland, north + south spent a few years making a lot more money than us workers did. Now our children have either left the country completely or can't leave the house.
Pleased to report that it's unlikely that any house in NI made more than me last year.0 -

There is something wrong with this mindset.
There is nothing like earning something. Reward for achievement, or sacrifice. Looking at something and thinking 'i/we did that' .0 -

That's OK for some people, in some circumstances...... but, for some, after a while you think .... I wish I could win it.

People look at their blind luck and mistake it for investment genius. Seriously, how many BTl investors predicted 0.5% base rates, FirstBuy, FLS, SGS, HTB1, HTB2 etc etc
