Halifax Reward Clarify Card

Halifax has removed this card from online applications and advises to apply for this in branch. But I read that if you apply for the normal one, you will get the reward as long as you satisfy the terms (£1000 monthly income to reward current account; £300 monthly spending etc). And this is even in the T/C.

Just wondering if anyone who got the normal clarify card recently gets the reward?

  • The option to apply online for the Clarity Card exists.

    The T&Cs for that card include:
    REWARD PAYMENT

    11.1 If you meet the requirements set out in condition 11.2, then for any statement period in which you:-
    (a) make at least £300 of Purchases (once any Purchases refunded in that period have beend deducted);
    (b) stay within your credit limit; and
    (c) make your minimum monthly payment;

    you will qualify for a £5 credit to your account in the following month. The credit will not be treated as a payment to your account under these conditions.

    11.2 To be eligible for the reward set out in condition 11.1, you must, at the time you enter into this agreement:-
    (a) hold a Halifax current account and pay in £1,000 or more each month;
    (b) use our switching service to move your current account to a Halifax Current Account and agree to pay in £1,000 or more each month;
    (c) open or hold a Halifax Ultimate Reward Current Account.

    There doesn't appear to be any problem with applying online AND getting a reward payment.

    if you fulfill requirements of t+c on reward current acc do you get reward of £5 in your reward current account, and then another £5 for fulfilling requirements of t+c with clarity card. Does the £5 from clarity go into C.C acc or reward current acc so potential £10 to be earned?

    The £5 for the reward current account is credited to your current account, the £5 for the Clarity card is credited separately to your credit card account.
