Have a look on Thomas cook website. There's quite a few coming up at around 1k for the last week in august. In fact, there's lots for a lot less than 1k, but most are for rhodes, although there are some for Majorca and fuerterventura.

What are you dates? Where can you fly from! Do you need things like suitcases/swimming pools etc?

When I look it's flights first we.skyscanner.net then accom from places like trivago, however there is little left available in summer holidays so you maybe lucky.

I was looking today for myself, 2 adults, 9 & 0 year old and found fortnight in menorca for 1400, but it want easy!

We want to fly from the 25th or the 26th of aug for 7 nights, 2 adults and one child of 7. Swimming pool a must, and definitely suitcases. Im findind it hard to do flights separately with accommodation because of baggage and transfers, from airport to hotel, etc...
Erm, any feedback would be much appreciated.
    Thankyou for any reply.

Think visiting a travel agent is your best option as you obviously have no clue.

Flights man - Ibiza with ryanair- great times- without cases = £426 on the Monday. (You can add cases but we never bother for a week)

This apartment is under £400 http://www.expressrooms.com/Hotel-Details.aspx?startday=25&startmonth=8&startyear=2014&numnights=7&city=3441&numrooms=1&numadults=2&numchildren=1&child1Age0=7&agentid=quickxmllyon&hotelid=S2B8GFATMWXP8P7JAT0AC4N1H3&showsearch=true#

Taxi no more than £25 each way

So over £100 for suitcases if you desire

Perhaps someone might be joining the 'banned from tripadvisor' thread soon. :p

Try the tesco compare site if you are looking for a package. I'm sure they bring up Thomas Cook and Thomson holidays, and also about 5% discount. I've not used it for months though, so I'm assuming it's still around.

Should be do-able within your budget, perhaps Majorca might actually have plenty to offer for a young family?

have a look on Holidaypirates website. You still haven't said which airports you can fly from as this would help people try to find you something

Do you REALLY need suitcases ?

If you're on a budget and only going for a week and there's only two adults and a kid you really can get everything you need into carry-on baggage.

This opens up a lot of potential budget options, particularly if you can be flexible.

Trawl the Ryanair website and then accomodation.

    Or the majors.

Even 1 suitcase. That would be 10kg each hand luggage with everyone except thomson and thomas cook who are 5kg.
I extra suitcase of 15/20kg would do most families for a week. If its to load with cigarettes/spirits, you can normally buy one in resort for about 20 euro ish, so you would only need to book for return leg.
