Re-mortgage advice on outgoings

I’ll try to keep this as simple and succinct as possible:

Recently got a re-mortgage deal with Lloyds back in April but they wanted to mess about over £5k valuation on the property so I didn’t go through with it. Then applied to Monmouthshire BS but they took a month to come back and say no because I was on maternity leave.

I am now off maternity leave and looking to re-mortgage, but whilst my partner pays half the mortgage he is not actually on it because he is on his sister’s (in name only) but is entitled to half our house by way of a legal trust deed.

Whilst all the bills tend to be in joint names they are paid out of my bank account, do mortgage lenders take into account that my outgoing are only for half these bills? If not am I better off shifting them to his bank account or getting a joint account?

Many thanks in advance!

Most lenders don't over-analyse ever penny of your expenditure, so it won't matter who pays what. They use statistics from the Office of National Statistics.

If they use the ONS figures, these will over-ride what you enter, unless your figure is higher.

I suggest you speak to a broker and get advice on how to achieve what you want.
