Hi just wondered if anyone else had ever recieved a fake letter.
Back in 2012 when i was made redundant i had one from santander.
To me they can use that tactic (i work in accounts - and if people owe us money like that they should expect that kind of letter)
I mean myself i am grateful it was a fake letter as if they had been real i would have had court costs etc - its now paid but still..
If u owe money u owe money i know sometimes its hard but they will still chase for it i dont get all the fuss.

And the point of this thread is what?Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0

It's a fake letter ... so why stress/lose sleep over it?

So how do you know the letter was fake then?
Still whats the point in this post as others have said there no point to it at all.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0

If you owe money to a bank, and you get a letter from that bank about it, it is almost certainly not a fake letter.0

I'm assuming the OP is referring to letter purportedly sent by solicitors but actually sent by banks or other organisations. While it's been in the news recently it's been going on for years, and I'm sure there will be old threads on here about it (probably on DFW rather than here). Doubtful if there's anything new to be said about it.0
