Did i ever say you could? I was saying the exact same as shaun yet for some reason you've decided to target my posts.

    Stop being ridiculous.

Didn't mean to spark such a heated debate!

I have contacted them again with a lengthy email outlining the various responses I've had from the different staff member.

I've gone with the angle that adding an expiry date after the purchase of the item can be perceived as breaching the contract that occurred when the item was purchased (money changing hands).

An item with no expiry date at that point is pretty much what my family member was purchasing, and any attempt to change this afterwards would be a breach of the contract that took place.

Not sure if this will be successful, nor am i sure what i'll do if it isn't. My reply to them is based on the The Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999.
  • Have you asked the person who made the initial purchase whether any expiry date was mentioned at any time before the sale was completed?

As it currently stands, you have no contract with thesportshq and because of this, they are under no obligation to deal with you or even to reply to your messages.

Happy to announce I got all 5 vouchers renewed by them. Thanks :j
  • Good stuff, well done.

You were 100% correct, they cannot unilaterally change the agreed contract without your consent.

Even given the point that personally only the buyer had rights in this situation.

Looks like they've updated them in light of my complaint!
