straight to Bailiff????
Hi All,
I did some searching but could'nt find anything directly related to this...
In the past I received private parking tickets and followed procedure advised here and all went swimmingly.
However a couple of months ago I parked in a PCP for the first time in years. I didn't receive any ticket through the post and I assumed I gotten away with it completely,
However I received ta letter from a bailliff this morning... 'Roxburghe' is the company. Saying that they are charged with recuperating the monies!
It says that the PCP company received nothing from me which leads me to believe that they did send out tickets.
I moved house recently but I immediately changed the registration with the DVLA so perhaps they were lost in the post??
Anyway, how do I proceed with this as Im in a wee pickle!
Can i contest it???

"Bailiffs" can be appointed prior to go going to court and at that point they are simply debt collectors with no additional powers over a normal debt collector.
Only once a case has gone through the courts does a bailiff gain additional powers.
Presumably you have mail forwarding from your old address no?0 -
You need to post in the parking tickets forum for answers on this but please read the NEWBIES thread at the top of the forum before you post as this will have answers to all the questions you have.0

Roxburghe are just debt collectors here; they have no powers whatsoever beyond pestering you.0

Get yourself into the Parking Tickets sub forum - tons of info about Poxburghe and their activities there - start with the Newbies Sticky that explains the current situation and your options for dealing with them clearly.
