Easyjet - summer Holidays 2014 prices

Hi everyone,
We're thinking of booking a villa for next summer in Spain. We'll be flying into Alicante or Barcelona.
We want to book the villa now, while it's available, but want an indication on flight costs or next year.
Can anyone let me know what they paid for flights in this summer holidays, that were booked as soon as they were released by easyjet / Ryan air.
Looking for flights into Spain from any southwest or London airports.
Thanks in advance

Hi OP,
Next year's flights won't be based on this year's prices (just a heads up).
Flights can be anywhere from £50 each way from a london airport, to £300 each way - it depends on the dates, airports (taxes come into play a lot), airline, and baggage - some charge for baggage after the initial price, some include one bag per person in the price.
I'd probably suggest emailing the airlines themselves to get an idea of price (the cheapest flights aren't necessarily when they come out, as I know that EasyJet release in batches not at once, not sure about others) but the last cheap flight I got to Alicante was with Monarch, it was £78 return, including one hold bag and one hand luggage, which was in April this year (booked around 4 months before) and included taxes where applicable.
I've found RyanAir to be quite expensive once you put the add-ons on there; you may be better looking for a company which may already include hold baggage, or try sky scanner.0 -
paid around £180 including two bags for end June, paid about £165 for mid July one bag both to and from Southend/Alicante.
Paid nearer £300 for flights end July Luton/Southend/Alicante
all Easyjet.
If you can be a little flexible around days you travel you can find a good dealSave 12k in 2020 #19 £12,429.06/£14,0000 -
Thanks for replies. We can be quite flexible on dates, but we need to book our accommodation now, to ensure we get it.
I've had a look on easyjet for this yr and it seems the cheapest fares (from our pref. airport, Bristol) seem to be departing on a Sunday and returning on a Monday.
If we budget on about £175 per person inc hold luggage, would this be realistic assuming we book as soon as flights are released?

Don't forget that Ryanair also fly to Girona, from where Barcelona is accessible.0

Hi OP,
It depends on what they want to charge you. I think it should be enough, but be prepared that if you fly on a busy day for them (weekends are usually more expensive to fly in and out) it will cost more.0
