Faster payment of fixed term deposit

Good morning,

my fixed term deposit with Newcastle Building Society was due yesterday (31 July 2014). I have given instructions to Newcastle BS to get my deposit including interests transfered to my current account with Halifax. I am expecting about £40K. I would need the money immediately to pay for an overdraft and earn interest somewhere else.
However, while my previous fixed term deposit is not listed in NBS' online banking facility anymore there is no sign of money being deposited to my current account.
I have contacted NBS weeks ago to double check that they would send my money on due date to my current account. NBS has confirmed this.

I suspect it has something to do with limits on faster payments. When looking at
http://www.fasterpayments.org.uk/consumers/transaction-limits
I could not retrieve any information about NBS,

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.
Thank-you!
