hi.
i was shoping today at my local tesco and a man approched me asking if i have a bt phone-line(which i have).
is a 3 months contract and i get 1000 tesco points:j :j (£40 in deals).
well i did sign it as i have 1 month to decide, and 1000 points are tempting.
do you think is a good offer(i'm happy with bt).
the other thing i'm worried is the calls made abroad and uk using the cheap numbers using uk& international callchecker.
will the change affect this calls?
thank you.

The loss-leader 1000 points aside, the question to answer really is how is what's on offer better than the combination of BT Together Option 1 (paid by DD and with the paper-free billing discount), Primus Saver Option 2 and 18185?

And then there's another issue to consider:

I guess the Tesco Salesperson failed to mention.

That the monthly line rental is dearer then BT. Tesco £11. BT(online) £10.50p.

That they charge £1.75 a month for caller display, where as its virtually free with BT subject to a couple of calls a month.

That their call packages are more expensive then BT and most other suppliers.

That they can block access to the likes of 1899/18185 etc if you move your line rental to them.

Another point if you agreed to move your line rental to Tesco and you want to cancel the deal,do it pronto!!! Otherwise if you move back to BT at a later date your have to sign a new one years contract.
