hi ladies well here we are again, not the best week four me as the surprise weekend away I booked for our anniversary was a disaster
:mad:and today had to have my tooth out(the one that had been suffering with since march)just tried to cheer myself up with a beauty treat but for some reason the salon page is not loading also laptop died again so struggling with the air book
not bought anything recently as not been out much
woman on ebay never got her make up so had to refund her and not got round to claiming off post office
apart from this all okay!!!!!0 -
Happy August, everyone!
Thank you to Clutterfree for starting us off
I'm aiming for a no INs and a general low spend month. I'm a little nervous about this but need to save some money asap.
I only managed to knock 6 items off my PP list so I'm carrying the list over to August (my PP lists are quite long!)
I'm not sure how many UUs and INs I had last month. I'm going to keep more careful track this month.
First two UUs:
Clinique DDML (30ml) - I quite liked this (for the first time!) but ended up using it on my neck as I need something with an SPF for my face. WNBA but would use again
Dead Sea Source De-stress Ginger Body Souffle (350ml) - hurrah! An ancient stash relic has gone :j Fortunately it didn't go off before I finished it. Really liked the scent but didn't think it was amazing as a moisturiser. WNBA even as a 'bargain' reduced item (as it was when I bought it)
I have other splutterers but I'm happy with that as a start to an :A month (I hope!!! Can you tell I'm not confident about this? :rotfl:)0 -
I have a uu
Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer, WBA and already did some time ago. This was a gwp size and was double ended with a mascara. I do find concealers wasteful, there is so much on the side of the tube but I can't get it all.
I ended July on 22 uu/outs and 4 ins with a total spend of £2.97.
Today I have bought a hair colour to tide me over until December when I will have it done at the salon again, I have used it already so not counting as it wasn't unnecessary. I also bought two John Frieda Go Curlier sprays, they were £6.99 ish for one or two for £7.50, I didn't really fancy anything else so got two, I have tried it after colouring and my hair is a huge mass of curls, you do have to blow dry it though as it is heat activated. I paid for all 3 items with advantage points.
Kadison - I agree with the others, you will be fine. I was 17 when I met my inlaws and at that age you don't really care but I think it would be a different story if I was meeting someone's parents now.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Evening all! I've been baking all day and am knackered, in other news I have just realised I have a new and suspicious looking freckle on my toe, I'm going to make an appt to get it checked next week as I often forget to put sunscreen there and it's weird.
I'll get blokey to have a proper look tomorrow - so romantic :rotfl:
Have a good weekend all, I'm off to sort out his cake and finish packing xxxNo Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

hopefully nothing kadison, but always wise to get those sort of things checked out.
not sure what ive done to my foot either i think i either got bit or trod on something when i was clearing some scrub wearing flipflops, i got a rash of little itchy spots that looked like bloodblisters, after a while they dried and now keep flaking and im left with an area about 2ins by 1ins near my big toe joint thats all skinned off dry and itchy. nothing seems to be making it any better and that was about 2 weeks ago.SPC~12 ot 124

Thanks for the new thread Clutterfree and nice to see you again ruby_eskimo.
I'm definitely in again this month. If I'm feeling brave, I may photograph and list my shampoo stash soon. I think I currently have at least fifteen different bottles of shampoo and that doesn't include all the sample sachets I've accumulated over the years...... :embarasse
Surely one day I might actually find my holy grail shampoo for greasy hair with dry ends!Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician....0 -
Thanks Clutterfree for the new thread
can't believe it is August!
Enjoy your weekend kadison, love the idea of celebrating every 1000 day birthday! Good luck with the in laws too, I am sure they will love you. Some great advice has been given on the thread.
How are you feeling now maddiemay?
Lovely to see you again ruby eskimo and trudij in last months thread. It's always nice to see people again. I often wonder how the familiar faces are getting on.
Sorry to hear about your weekend away and your tooth rosemary.
Would love to see stash photographs babafette - I'm so nosy! I too am looking for a good shampoo for greasy roots and dry ends, still looking though!
I have a few last IN for July -
133 - La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo plus 40ml - I caved and re bought this at full price in Boots as my skin started to get spotty again after a week of not having it. Annoyed that I didn't just re-buy this in the first place rather than trying out the other moisturiser.
134 - Mac Matte lipstick in Kinda Sexy - completely completely unnecessaryI couldn't resist the Debenhams £5 off a lipstick offer this week. Still haven't received it but will declare now. I chose click and collect at my local store but still haven't had an email to say it's arrived. Last time I did click and collect through Debenhams they never sent me an email so I will probably just pop in next week if I haven't heard anything.
ETA - Grr it's so annoying when I suddenly realise that I have got rid of something when actually I probably should have kept it! Just checked through last years stash list and saw that I threw out a hair mousse when actually I could do with one :rotfl:0 -
I have a uu
Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer, WBA and already did some time ago. This was a gwp size and was double ended with a mascara. I do find concealers wasteful, there is so much on the side of the tube but I can't get it all.
Dolly, do you still have the concealer?, if it is in a mascara type dispenser, try and lever the seal/grommet thing off with a blunt knife, you can then wiggle the wand around and reach all that left on the sides, I do this with lipgloss and mascara, it is criminal how much is wasted otherwise. If it is not this type of dispenser please ignore my waffling:rotfl:
P.S. Another tip is to use of one those long wooden sticks from the coffee shop to reach to the bottom of very narrow necked bottles. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0
