Aqua Card Application

Hi Everyone, hope you are all well

Quick question, last weekend I applied for the Aqua Credit Card (in an attempt) to continue building a very damaged credit file, one pressing submit I got the message

Subject to a final check your card offer would be 49.9%

(now have tried many times before) and always been instant declined to this was quiet a shock even at 49.9%

I take it first that was a referral? Anyway, I called them today and the guy told me he would find out for me if I was accepted or not, he didn't instead he came back and said they would send me a letter in a week or week and a half?

So my question is LOL, has anyone been in this situation? Would it likely be a decline?

I know you won't know and are not mind readers, but I am guessing if I was declined I would get a letter and not have to wait a a week/week and a half or I am just hoping... haha

Hi there. I was in the same situation like you - over the last year, every time when I applied for Aqua I received instand decline, until March this year - we will contact you in 10-14 days.

Then I received letter to send them supporting documentation, like passport and bank statement. After that i received my card. So I think you should be fine, but prepare for long wait - my whole application took almost 2 months.

Great thanks for the reply. Mine was like a half approval/referral, it said my card APR if successful and I even had to sign the credit agreement on the page. Then when I pressed submit it made some comment about if successful we will contact you blah blah.

2 months lol, I was hoping to use it for extra spending money on holiday and to pay back next month from wages, if it takes 2 months I think I will decline them back :rotfl:
