Cheap Fuel / best benefit cards...??

I generally use my necter card and pick up points as i fuel (2 cars and a bike). We have just moved house and live the other side of town to sainsburys, therefore not the most cost effective way to fuel. I would like to know whats the best rewards system for fuel.

We do our shopping at asda. I have recently joined a gee7 forum where i get 5% discount by buying a asda gift card and using it instore.. can these be used for fuel? (i doubt it) thought about a asda credit card as you get discount on fuel... Or tesco with a club card?

or any other i have missed?

Santander credit card - 3% cash back on all fuel.

In addition to any loyalty scheme at the petrol station e.g. nectar, Clubcard etc.

Certainly true if the fee is waved for the first year however, I have noted that while I've used this card a lot for both my supermarket shopping and fuel, for the amount of fuel I use it's not really any better than 1% once you minus the fee, which is equivalent to what I would get on my amazon card anyways. But for someone who does a lot of driving, it would be a lot more worthwhile
