Help with childcare

Just spoken to HMRC to be told that we don't qualify for any help but after putting in the same information on here, using the quick check test, we should get over £900 a year. Is it any wonder I'm confused??!!!
If I dont go back to work we'll be £10,000 worse off and if I do go back nearly all my wages would go on childcare. Either way we get no help.
Then I read that autumn next year families earning up £30,000 a year, £150,000 if a single parent, can get £2000 a year tax free childcare. If you earn that much you shouldn't need help with costs.
This country is going up the swanny and taking a lot of us with it.
I wonder how many families live apart because they now can't afford to live together, therefore costing the government more. Its a sad state of affairs but one a lot more of us may find ourselves in

Are you saying families on 30k shouldn't get help with childcare? Seriously?
Take 35k after tax, student loan and NI is £2k ish
£1250 childcare bill.
£900 rent.
Not much left is there. I think your comment is a little generic.
I'm broke as I pay 100% of every bill with no help at all, the extra saving on my tax bill (childcare vouchers) is a lifesaver. If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0
