Hi all,
Off on honeymoon to America / Hawaii in a few weeks and considering what to do about mobile phones (currently on giffgaff who are stupidly expensive for roaming!)
The current thought is to get a Three pay as you go SIM, who as far as I can tell, let me buy a £10 or £15 add-on and then instantly use that in America for inclusive calls/data (?)
I'm then thinking of using PhoneLease ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gearandroid.phoneleashfree ) to forward all my text messages from my current phone to my temporary Three one (and giffgaff's normal call forward for all calls).
Anyone got any thoughts on this / suggestions for better usage? I'm fortunate to have a spare Android phone to leave at home with my normal SIM to use PhoneLease for forwarding SMSs.

A honeymoon you say ? :rotfl:0 -
Three 3-2-1 is certainly worth looking at, especially for data and calls to the UK.
Toggle offers the same 3p/minute rate between the US and the UK and for local calls and also to a dozen or so other countries; data is more expensive.
There have been several similar threads about calling in the US so try a search. I'm away at the moment so can't easily do that. More info on Three and Toggle websites.0 -
Who are you with at the moment? O2 have an app called TUGO where you call and text over wifi. Just been to US for three weeks and almost always could find wifi.0
