Hi,
I bought my home in January 2014 (first-time buyer) and was originally on pre-payment meters until I got credit meters fitted in April 2014. My current supplier is British Gas on a standard tariff.
On my British gas account it says I can save my fixing for 12 months.
I have also ran it through a comparison site and the top suppliers are coming through as OVO, First Utility, Green Star Energy & EDF Energy. I don't have much experience with these companies. Are some better than others?
Any advice would be much appreciated. I would like to get my bills down for winter.

Hi Nicjane113, We heard that OVO are okay but don’t take our word for it. ;-) If you fancy a chat or have some questions then feel free to drop us an email on socialmedia@ovoenergy.com. Thanks, OVO.“Official Company Representative
I'm a verified Ovo Energy representative. MSE has given me permission to reply to questions about the company, to help solve issues. (Check I'm on the verified companies list). I'm not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I have please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -
Hi
Just to say that I am the same, and got a cheep quote from Green Star, I tried to check on this site for feedback but its difficult. I think I'll give it a try though. You can easily find the tariffs when you click enrol (quotes via the Money Saving Expert). The next page shows what you could sign up for.
