Hi Folks
This is my first post. I'm looking some advice re my experian credit score. I have 2 accounts marked default in relation to 2 credit cards they date back to Nov 08 and Dec 08 both were settled after negotiation with the lenders. Do they stop being a negative on my report after 6 years ann if so does this change automatically or do i have to do anything
Thanks

The default and the record of the account will drop off your credit file automatically 6 years after the default date. You do not need to do anything.
Once they are gone then any potential lender looking at your credit file will never know they were there.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
