elona I'm so sorry to hear about your DH's friend; what a horrible shock! Best of luck for DH at the hospital, also.

Well the rain has started here so had to get the washing in. Thankfully most of it was dry.

Sorting through the clean underwear / sock bucket and there are 39 odd socks  Where do they all go? It's a mystery to me. The thing is what do I do with them? If I get rid the other one is bound to turn up :D Some of them are tatty and could go but some are still presentable so it's annoying that they are not paired up.

Have been slowly working through my lists today and have caught up on chores. I'm keeping an eye on energy usage and have turned down the hot water a bit. Have made important phone calls (I hate using the phone :o ) and answered emails.

Hopefully the rain won't last as wet days in the school holidays are not much fun

  • Hello all,

We have a storm just starting, so I also had to fetch the washing in and the sky is very dark.

Had my nails done this morning, and this afternoon have been sorting my wardrobe out and also costume jewellery. I will take this to the Hospice shop next week after I have washed the clothes that have to go as well.

Hilly it is good to "see" you and many congratulations on your first anniversary, may there be many more:j When I was diagnosed I was determined no one would call me a cancer" sufferer", I was going to be a "Survivor". Now I am old enough to know that it could come back at any time, but I have the check ups and keep taking the tablets and put my trust in those who know.

The rain is now coming down in stair rods so hopefully the garden will enjoy it, and already it smells fresher.

Molly if you are reading, gentle hugs and hope this litte episode hasn't put back the date for your op.

Take care everyone if you have a change in the weather as well.

    Evening all,

Not much to add from me today. Went to bed late last night, got up late this morning... I am so lacking in routine its untrue!

Went to go food shopping this afternoon but ended up in the pub having a carvery. Overdosed on meat and vegetables and neither of us could face the food shopping afterwards. :D

I think i'll have to starve myself for the rest of the day to make up for the calories ive consumed already.

Came home, hubby has now passed out from food exhaustion on the bed.

Saw 'Middler' aka middle son today. He is looking so well, so 'together'. He's hanging around with a decent lot of mates now and it shows.

Elona, what a shock for your DH. How awful.

Pulled pork for tea. Cooked and ready to eat. Pity neither of us will be able to eat it now.

    Onwards and forwards.

    Have a great evening all.

    Hi all :)

Just a quick visit, been so busy today! Got a nice jacket for wedding tomorrow in a charity shop for £7, tidied house and done lots of washing.
Still need to sew a bit on my dress and iron DHs shirt.

SIL coming for dinner with her BF and their adopted daughter who is adorable, so it will be a naughty take away pizza!

Hugs to those who need them, have a good evening all x
