Bank of Scotland Reward Current A/c

I've had 2 Reward Current accounts for ages. I only get the £5 reward on one of them because the other one doesn't have any direct debits and i don't pay in £750 per month.

If I transferred across 2 of my direct debits and chucked in £750 p/m, would I get the reward? Even though i've had the account for ages?

Most probably yes. It works at Halifax, so probably does at BoS, too. Try it, you have nothing to lose.

yeah, might give it a go. £60 a year is better in my pocket than the bank's!

When Halifax changed their rules last year they threatened to downgrade Reward accounts (to 'Current Accounts') that didn't meet the new requirements, ie DDs set up (but not necessarily paid) and £750 a month paid in.

Did BoS not do the same with their Reward account?

Is the account still tagged a Reward account in your online area and on any paper correspondence they send you?

BOS don't have the downgrade 'threat' in their Reward T&Cs.
Probably as it's been closed to new business since 2011.
