Jacket Advice Please

Hi,
Im after advice on a bike jacket that was purchased for just over £300 in June. The jacket has a removable thermal lining. After wearing the jacket a couple of times i decided to unzip and remove this lining. When i removed the lining i found a large hole in the inner seam. This hole was not visible when the jacket was received with the lining in place. It looks as though maybe someone has tried the jacket on before i bought it and it was way too small, which could have caused the hole in the seam.
Its now 6 weeks since i purchased this on a credit card (i understand about section 75 but just wanted to approach the retailer first)
So far the retailer has been ok and asked i wait while they contact the manufacturer of the jacket. They did mention about getting it repaired though.
I just wondered as the jacket was expensive and only six weeks old if i had to accept a repair on it or would i be within my rights to push for an exchange or refund?
Thank you for any help

I'm pretty sure acceptance would have occurred by now, so you can only state a preference for refund/replace/repair, but it's down to the retailer to decide which one they want to go for.0
