I didn't think bank holidays would play a part? Just the holiday allowance other than this. I have taken 11.5 days, plus whatever bank holidays there have been since 1st Jan

From start of Jan to end August you would have been due 24.7 days hol. There have been 4 bank hols so far this year, with another due 25th August.
Assuming you take that august bank holiday you'll be due about 8.2 days. (37/12 * 8, -11.5, -5)
