Credit Card Debt reclaim??

I would like to know if I can reclaim from credit cards that had sold my credit card debt on to another. I had originally had a Shell credit card, can't remember the exact % rate, but they transfered me to CitiBank at a larger % rate of 29%, some months later CitiBank transfered me to Opus which had a % rate of 46.7%. I paid this rate for at least 12 months. When the 2 companies transfered I couldn't pay off the debt, so had no choice. I have now paid off the debt, but do have I a case to go to the Financial Ombudsman??

I don't see any case. If a CC company increases the rate you always can get the account closed for spending and the rate frozen at the current level:
AFAK, they have to inform you about this option when informing you about the rate change. If they have not and if you have the original paperwork to prove this, you possibly have the case.
