Credit rating & Electoral Open(Edited) Register

I know that one should be on Electoral Register to improve their Credit Rating. However, if I exclude myself from Edited Register (newly called Open Register), will that affect my credit rating? Edited Register is the one where anyone can extract all the names and addresses in any particular area or post code, basically, names & addresses available for sale.

This will have ZERO impact on your credit file. 100%. It's also stated on the form you complete with the council..
You need to be registered.. but not on the Open Register.0 -
I just wondered, given this information, whether there is any benefit to being on the open register or not. I have a feeling there isn't and getting off the open register is a way of preventing junk mail etc.0

I can never understand why anyone wouldn't opt out. No benefit at all to being on the edited register, and a few disadvantages.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
