Natwest & credit files

So my real question would be, - when does a credit account actually fall into the month behind - default etc.

I'm raising this for my partners CC account btw, that was a few days late but is now showing as a late payment on his CF?

I always thought you had to be at least a month late? ie over 30 days late with payment?

Some accounts give a month, some until the statement date, some report if one day late.

You admit yourself the payment was late and it's totally up to Natwest when they register a late payment.

Don't assume any company will give you 30 days grace.

    Hello there,

The answer me be specific to the precise terms of your contract. I know that some will regard it as a late payment even if it's a day over. Contracts can act very harshly indeed.

    Best wishes,

Why should due dates be flexible?

You won't be happy if your salary were paid a month late would you.

There has to be a more grown up attitude and responsibility to finance. Including from those that advise.

Well I certainly wouldn't be. But if it was, who could I report the matter to? In fact, who could I report the timeliness of my salary payments on a rolling monthly basis, on time or not?

Come to think about it, all these other organisations that don't pay me on time - and right now a major financial institution has been three weeks late paying me several thousand pounds - who should I report this late payment to?
