Happy Anniversary Mumto2monkeys and Dadto2monkeys.

Hope you have a babysitter booked for tonight! ;)

Sadly No:(, it must be 6 or 7 years since we had a night out together, in fact I can't actually remember.

Some people are very lucky when they have their own parental support network. My own parents are very old fashioned, mum doesn't drink, doesn't understand the need for time off away from the kids, she's old school "you have children, you look after them" type of approach. Don't get me wrong I can drop them off for an hour or so when I need to go to the Doctors etc but as for anything else I feel like I'm asking too much...

DD would love to sleep over, mum decorated the spare bedroom for her, bought new bedding and everything, saying in the holidays you can come and stay. DD has slept over once this year:(.
It's sad, but at the end of the day she's not going to change so I have to accept it.

Sorry bit of a ramble when no would have answered the question:rotfl:

I agree but can't be bothered to say so most of the time......it's all been said before and saying anything will never change it. I must be feeling in that sort if mood that I realise no matter how much you shout, scream and try to change things....some stuff just never will ;):o

And on a completely different note. I need a small fridge, mini beer type at a decent price before 9/11.......if it's a coke one, all the better :D the boy who has everything is 13 then and has decided it's time he started storing his coke cans in his bedroom :o:D :rotfl:

    Morning all!
I'm a lurker....rarely around during day. Try to read up at night....would love to post but normally fall asleep about 10 then wake up during the night shift and don't know what to say lol!
Just back from a week down south (Ireland not England). Was lovely....went to galway and stayed in youth hostels  Have not done that for many many years but with 3 kids in tow and limited funds we decided why not? Letsmjustmsay I'm glad I took my own pillow or I would not have slept a wink. The teenagers and bf scoffed at me the whole way taking the p over my old lady pillow in the car. They weren't laughing so much when my face didn't have to touch the hostel pillows....lol!
We spent a week body boarding and mouching around watching the buskers and street entertainers.....was great. If you get the chance I would recommend galway.
Back to work Monday but not that bothered cos it'll give me a chance not to spend money!!
tweets.....I have to say well done on the weight loss.....I've been very impressed with your sig. I've put on nearly a stone in a couple of months so things are changing as of today!!
Happy birthday to those celebrating .....hope you all have a great weekend. :T

our family's live a long way away from us so unless DS1 can babysit we usually get a m&s meal deal & wait until the kids are in bed to have our anniversary dinner :)

true :) the only glitch i ever found was the t's £5 pasta meal deal with cauliflower cheese & dessert that would cost about £2 after pp :o

Don't be :o cheer1eader, doesn't matter how many glitches anyone brings if any. I haven't brought much to the table myself. Couple of 1p chocolate finds, a M&S wine glitch that no one else got  and don't think anyone ever found any 4p wine glasses in Ts like I did. :rotfl:

I think if someone even mentions they have been unlucky when searching for something at least it saves someone else a trip :money: and the only way you know who might be local to you is by joining in with the chat. :o
