Boo hiss indeed to Green Redeem. At least you won't have to make any more pledges about carrots JEL :rotfl:
Random baking question for PD (or anyone else around who might know). I have a US recipe for a sweet bread that I'd like to try. Two of the ingredients are cornstarch and shortening. Is cornstarch the same as cornflour? And what the heck is shortening. I googled it and it looked a bit like gooey lard  Is there something else I could use in its place? Please and thank you0 -
Rose Wine now not working against T, S or W
2 x Canti Pinot Grigio Veneto Ros! (750ml), £10.00, N/A
But suprisingly it is against M ...
2 x Canti Pinot Grigio Veneto Ros! (750ml), £10.00, £13.98
It worked last night against T at £3.20
So even though the buy-price dropped on Tuesday from £6.98, and is now £6.00 or on a multibuy of 2 for £10, until last night it still worked out at a good £2.88 a bottle.0 -
Has anyone else had an e-mail like this? No more M & S
vouchers from Green Redeem.
We are writing to you with some important information about M&S rewards.
From 30 September, M&S will no longer be in partnership with Greenredeem, so M&S rewards will no longer be available in the Greenredeem programme.
From 31 July, we're reducing the number of M&S rewards that each member can order to one of each reward, per month. This means that you can still save up to £10 at M&S by ordering one reward for Food, Drink & Flowers and one reward for Clothing, Home & Beauty.
We’re really keen to ensure that you can use your points and are committed to ensuring that our members have access to an all year round donations programme, helping local schools and community partners. In the early Autumn we’ll be able to make an announcement about a way in which your points can help.
We're also introducing some interesting and exciting new rewards to the programme, to replace M&S rewards...look out for them, coming soon!

Yep cornstarch is the same as cornflour. Shortening is basically a vegetable fat. I use Trex for that (it's non hydrogenated), also it's good to add in buttercream if you want to make piped roses as it holds its shape.
Hope that helps'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0 -
