Just think of the overpayment letters being plastered all over the walls of your downstairs loo if you're in need of inspiration :)

I wouldn't feel too sorry for us young-uns, the ones with the get up and go and determination to succeed can still do ok for themselves, partly because they spend time reading and posting on a forum like this! ;)

Thanks honey. I think maybe cause a lot on the now, college starts in two weeks and prob bit nervous. Maybe. The letters only been one a month for the last two months as had insurances and four birthdays to do.

Roll on the end of month.

    And thanks Arthien :A xxxxx

I'm glad you are having a good time.
    Every generation has their day.

A lot of us oldies feel sorry for the youngsters of today.Poor job prospects and the hope of owning a home just a dream.A few years ago you might have been in your own home at your age and no Mummy to ask you to clean your room up.

I do find it a bit strange for a lad of 22 to be posting on a forum such as this.

I know what you mean but Im also glad that they are getting a chance of a proper education and not being thrown in at deepend with bills etc.

I had a flat at 16 and definitely wouldnt want my two out there having to cope yet.

And its ok that's he is on here as long as its for the best intentions :rotfl:

not just to brag about night out:eek: x

It's nice to know that you like a nice tidy garden;):rotfl::rotfl:

    Hahaha! Behave you! :rotfl:
"I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again."

  • My brain is spinning, I need to buy a lawn mower. I moved house and this is the first time I've had grass in my garden for over 12 years!
I currently have one of those push along grass cutters (non electric) but it doesn't seem to cut that well, I often have to stop it and get the grass out where it jams. :(

So I think I need to buy a proper lawn mower but I have no idea what to go for. :o

My garden is about 30ft long and a slight slope & few uneven patches.
I was thinking of something like this? http://www.tesco.com/direct/flymo-rollermo-1000w-electric-wheeled-rotary-lawnmower/205-3252.prd?pageLevel=&skuId=205-3252

I have some CC vouchers I could double up if I buy from Mr T, but I would consider buying something completely diffrent if anyone has any recommendations?
Thank you in advance my green fingered Elite friends x

I have been looking for a lawnmower for some months now. I am loathe to part with money for one (last one bought with vouchers I won), have been saving nectar points and am now hoping to buy one when they go into the sales. If not a shop that takes nectar then one for which I can buy a gift card from Sainsbury with nectar points..

If your current one is jamming, have you tried sharpening the blades with a stone or some such? Just to keep it going a while?
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
