Don't knock it! I don't buy cleaning products. I do my cleaning with vinegar, lemon juice and bicarbonate of soda.....nothing else. I sterilise with Milton. No wipes, no trigger sprays of any sort. I also don't like artificial smells in the house :o I prefer to open windows and doors so no candles, reeds or other artificial air freshners :o I will admit to having the odd Yankee candle burning at nights as a treat :o

I am totally mind boggled by people who buy so many reeds and candles that they can reach £100 APG limit buying them :o:o Does anyone's house really smell that bad? :o

    Yes I do similar Fairclaire.
I use bicarb, vinegar then boiling water for sink plug holes ( I am like a big kid with the fizz :p) and white vinegar for descaling kettle & cleaning mirrors & windows.
Bicarb to sprinkle on rugs then hoover up as a deodoriser as I have two dogs.

I have windows & doors open as much as possible, the only air freshening spray I use is a natural citrus/raspberry spray made from pure esssential oil.

I remember the last time (years ago) I had a smelly candle on my mantlepiece my poor old dog was coughing for weeks. He was seen by the vet and we couldnt work out what it was. Then one day I got rid of the candle and he next day his cough suddenly disaapeared! I felt awful. :(

Never got around to trying the shampoo substitue though. Quite impressed.
"I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again."

I'm glad you've got work, I know you struggled with it for a while. But you're honesty is one of the best things this thread has known since I have been here. You have ALOT of respect here......because you are honest :)

Not just that, there has been some shocking misinformation that escaped punishment

There are plenty of regulars that keep the thread running smoothly, and post great glitches.

I have noticed a few AE's (the clue is low posts ) giving advice about high instore or online apg's But I'm sure most people see through them. ;)
