Evening all,
After a big fruit & veg session at M's, I have decided to make some jam. Strawberry seems easiest, I have a jar or 2, but does anyone know any shops to get Wax Discs? Local Wilko only have Kilner packs at £4 with silly bits of fabric, and online wont be here quick enough.
Thanks0 -

TUT! I'm sure there are many rewarding parts to your job. There are in most. You might help people, make people happy, make a difference (however small) to someone's life, do something that makes their future better, make someone's day worthwhile, give someone time that they don't get anywhere else.......I could go on and on and on...........:)0 -

edit: Lawrie, I thought I should explain better. those jars you get with the poppy bit in the lid, so you know when they have been opened, its a safety thing, like on kids food jars. Well if you put your jam in those, once it cools, the lid pops down so you know it is sealed.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Hearty root vegetable and coriander soup garnished with honey-roasted butternut squash seeds and a sprig of fresh coriander:
OMG that looks lush. I always make soup up as I go along too! :beer:It's a shame that food banks don't take meat and fresh fruit etc. I know why but I'd gladly donate the stuff I have spare (especially the fruit and veg I'm getting virtually free) so it doesn't end up in the bin.
Have you tried Freecycle? I've given food away on Freecycle before.lookinforabargain wrote: »Washing is done  but it's trying to get it dried that's the problem, lots of chunky hoodies and jeans that really need to go outside on the line as by the time they dry inside they smell funky:rotfl:
I don't have a tumble drier so in the winter I stick my washing on an airer in my spare bedroom with a dehumidifier going and door shut. Most of it is dry by the next morning even thick towels."I expect to pass through this world but once. I have a confession to make......
I ran out of shampoo!!!!:eek::eek:
I know, I know, how is it possible?
I had to wash my hair with bicarbonate of soda and rinse it with apple cider vinegar. First time I've tried that and I was really surprised it worked and my hair feels really soft.
Get me... being all old style lol? :rotfl:"I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again."

Thanks Anon, but you assumed right. I have seen it, just need somebody to restock it in my A (or one of the 6 I visit ). Do you see it on a.com? I was hoping it would appear there before msm.0
