Am I reading it wrong because from my reading it seems like it is only giving 10% to charity (£2.50) but then don't understand the all net proceeds part
All net proceeds plus a guaranteed 10% from every poppy sold will be shared equally amongst six service charities, which we hope will raise millions of pounds if all poppies are sold.
That was my understanding of it too. I was going to buy one until I read that. I'd be happier if the 6 charities got 10% each rather than between themI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. There is a lot of money made by someone if they sell all 888,246 at £25 each as can't see them costing more than a couple of pound to make, £5 at the most and only giving away 10%. If they were giving a bit more then would also buy a couple as presents but would rather give a few £ to the charities then help someone make their fortune out of using the charities. Might be getting it wrong, hope soBe thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Good morning!:D
If people are going to M for the fruit, following the price increase on the Royal Gala apples packs now £1.49 each:eek: (having been 67p on 3 for £2 a month ago), you may be spending more. However, all it needed for me to escape (or maybe rather to play?:D) the supermarket game was a change in pack design:(. I got the Kids apples packs instead, at 99p. They are Royal Gala apples in my store! Decent size apples too - and decent number (9).
Not like the Sweet pears:(. I found they were just five in a pack in my store:(:(, lots and lots of phlogisticated air. And price increase to go with them if I recall - to 99p from 50p (as part of old 3 for £1.50).:(:( I ended up getting some (expensive) Blackberries instead.
The Gala packs say "M Just for Kids" despite being very usable by these adults - again, just ignore anything the supermarkets tell you it seems:(. But I still feel shortchanged:(. Not able to get any further cabbage or much else - the £5 got ate up too quickly. And the strawberries got ate too quickly as well:(. We already got one more Sun voucher than last time - to cover for M's price increases on apples, salad tomatoes and other items - we should have got another further one on top, as how little we managed to get.:(:rotfl:0 -

If you want 100% of the money to go to charity you would have to give directly to the charity for nothing in returnqueen_of_cheap wrote: »That was my understanding of it too. I was going to buy one until I read that. I'd be happier if the 6 charities got 10% each rather than between them
10% of the price goes to charity plus the net proceeds as aau1 says. So the charities are guaranteed a minimum of the 10% if no "profit" is made, but they should get more.
This is a combination of buying a momento, contributing to the art work/ concept and giving to charity.
Of course giving direct to charity would give more to the charities, but this is not the aim.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Morning
Hope we get to the hotel by 3pm check in.
We have decided to defrost the freezer as I have emptied it to bring in doors. It's sat with kettle and bowl of water inside. I have never defrosted a chest freezer before.
Be grateful for any tips to get the water out the bottom I can't see a drain plug. :eek:0 -
A reminder as posted on the last thread. This works for many people to downgrade your A iPhone app back to the scanning version. It may not work for everyone but a fee of us had success
.
Switch off auto update of apps under Settings>ITunes and App Store> Automatic Downloads>switch off Updates. Then follow instructions on:
http://www.iphonefaq.org/archives/971543
I am willing to forego the auto updates to keep the APG scanner! Whatever update they applied on 9th July removed the functionality.
Now DO NOT update the A app (never ever click update all!).

Morning all!
DP and I went to the O2 arena in Greenwich last night. We went to Jimmy's for food and then the cinema to see the inbetweeners 2 (DP's choice)
The whole experience was not very MSE but DP paid so for me it was free! Well apart from the £3.30 I paid for some pic and mix!
On the outside they have a small tesco express. I popped in for milk for the kids cereal and hit whoopsie time! I got 6 packs of shredded duck for 35p each. Had to play a massive game of freezer Tetris when I got in, still in my high heels!
I've been to M's this morning. 5. Shops done, mostly salad bits and smoothie stuff. 2 vouchers given away.
I am resisting anymore sanex shops. We currently have enough Mens deodorant for a year and also enough shower/bath gel for a year also.0
