I always buy my mother the cheapest possible present I can because whatever I get will be wrong so no point wasting my time or money trying to get it right! I spend the money saved on dh and my children who always appreciate what they're given. :)

I get moaned at if its cheap and cheerful at least if she doesn't like the poppy I will ask for it back . Not ordered yet. Its her birthday 22nd January so I 2 pressies in less than a month to fathom what to buy. :)

    Happy Birthday Wishes Wackynut
(Birthday cake/party smilies on strike, I may have to change settings),

    I am confused about C&C -

Collected my 1st order 29th July
APG box appeared on 31st July, I filled in details to claim.

I thought I had read if I had claimed I could do another shop which I collected on 4th August
APG box for the 2nd shop did not appear until this evening (I have been checking during day) and the APG box has disappeared from my 1st order on the 29th.

I have not received any APG vouchers today.
I haven't claimed on my 2nd shop because I do not know what to do.

Have the two shops been combined?
Do the vouchers just appear under the date of each shop when the come in?

Any advice/help would be greatly welcome as I thought I had read enough to understand C&C shops but fear I may have messed up. First APG due £11+ and Second one £15+

    Good morning

I did have my vouchers - I didn't know you had to go through the process of doing an order to get to the payment page and they were there. Only found out on the Thurs when I decided to do an order for the Special K anyway (paying by card) and the first lot of £11+ vouchers were there (which I then used on the order).
Hope this helps someone like me who did not know where to find the vouchers :o.

I think I may have messed up and lost the vouchers on the 2nd shop £15+ as I claimed them (putting my details in). I thought that locked in the APG but now with the 3rd shop the APG box has disappeared and I can not see the comparision. So think on Tues I may just get the APG for the last shop? Oh well shall learn as I go along.

  • Have a good day everyone.

If you are running out of ideas for long lasting veg to 'buy' with the f&V coupons, swede last for ages in the fridge and also white and red cabbage which can be used for coleslaw.

They are here love. I have bought one for myself as well......something to leave to the kids. I think they are wonderful and make a lovely unique pressie for someone you care about.
I'll be honest, my kids don't give a hoot but I do dearly hope one day they will

ETA I think the artist who created these will be very up and coming in the future so if nothing else, it's an investment piece x

Morning all. Raining a bit here but nothing too dramatic yet. Off to M for final fruit and veg run shortly.

Thank you for the Poppy link FC, I've just ordered one for DH for Christmas. We usually struggle for ideas for things to get each other but I know he will love this, and as you said, could be an investment piece too.

These are beautiful. I hadn't heard about it before. Off to London on Tuesday for a few days so definitely going to visit tower now.

    Morning all

I've ordered one. Not convinced it will be off value in the future as they have made over 888,000. Thought it was a lovely momento to have and supports important charities.

Happy birthday nikkilala - I hope you have had a lovely day.

Could someone please explain the deal with the 3V cards from Mr T. I've seen the cards mentioned a few times, but have no idea what they should be used for.

Also, if you claim 2 APGs within 1 week, will they be combined into one APG when they are processed or will you get 2 APGs on your online account with Mr A?

Many thanks for your continued lessons into the world of APGs and other money saving tips

    Good morning

It looks like your post was missed last night so I am answering for you now (blame the night shift for going off topic :o).

3V is 3V Prepaid Visa for Internet payments (no fee - there are others so don't confuse them). Buying in T 2x£25 you get 150 CC points (and can, CS willing, get away with using conditional spend vouchers - I have used £7 off £50 and £6 off £40 on one shop - £37 for £50 :)). They can also be used to hit any spend requirements for new credit card welcome bonuses (like Amex).

    https://www.3vprepaid.com/products.html

What can you do with the cards?

Options are more limited now than they have been in the past (you used to be able to pay HMRC and council tax in many places :)), but Highstreetvouchers and TCB vouchers accept them for payment for Giftcards to spend elsewhere - HSV sell A vouchers (1x£5, 2x£10) which with free postage and no current fees (this may change, they introduced a £1 handling fee at the end of last month but removed again this week). So 2x£25 to spend in A bought with £50 (or less ;)) in T with 150cc bonus ... Oh, and currently 2p off a litre of petrol :).

Other options are available paying some bills online (Virgin Media and Sky may work), some utilities companies and online retailers including Amazon.

Am I reading it wrong because from my reading it seems like it is only giving 10% to charity (£2.50) but then don't understand the all net proceeds part

All net proceeds plus a guaranteed 10% from every poppy sold will be shared equally amongst six service charities, which we hope will raise millions of pounds if all poppies are sold.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

First i went to this page to check my phone was backing up in the first place
Settings>icloud>backup and storage (scroll to the bottom for date/time)

Then i deleted everything off my phone by

    Settings> general>reset>erase all content

Then when i switched phone back on it prompted me to set up as a new phone or to restore from a backup. I just selected yesterday's but the option was there to restore from earlier backup

All depends on if you back up and how far back those backups go. I was lucky that i realised my mistake almost straight away

There is a way to do it with itunes but i haven't connected itunes for years so i didn't really look into it

Is your phone an iphone? Thanks

    deducting the cost of manufacturing/selling/distributing/marketing/etc

If you want 100% of the money to go to charity you would have to give directly to the charity for nothing in return
