Good morning :)

Been on the beach.....it's a bit fresh out there  Dearly hoping it stays nice for tomorrow, it's the air show here and it'd be a shame if the weather is bad.

No, I didn't win supermarket sweep :o My friend nagged and nagged at me to apply for it until I caved in. Then blamed the boots I was wearing for us not getting through to the next round :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
She was a big Dale fan  and was delighted to have met him. Those were mad but fun times......aaaah young and childless :D

Just completed another candy crush episode. Are they getting easier? Or maybe the daily spin helps hurdle the harder levels.

By heck it is a lot of voddie for a few plums.

Can you drink the voddie afterwards? :o:o:o

LOL it is a liqueur recipe:beer: once you have made the drink you can eat the fruit,( not if you are going to be driving though) cherries are especially nice,

an idea for those who still have F&V coupons and not sure what else to do with them. I have also made it with peaches, and cherries.
you can easily half (or double;)).
I use a Tupperware bowl as my 'vessel' Value vodka works fine

Plum Brandy (Slivyanka)
makes about 3ltrs/5 pts

2ltrs/3 ½ pints Strong Vodka
1Kg/2-2 ½ lb ripe Plums
1kg/2-2 ½ lb Sugar OR
sugar syrup made with 400g/14oz sugar and 1.5ltrs/ 2 ½ pts water cooled

Fill a wide necked vessel with the ripe plums. Add the vodka, seal, and place in a dark place for four to six weeks. Drain off the vodka and reserve it. Fill the vessel of plums with the sugar or cold sugar syrup, the sugar draws all the alcohol out of the plums; let it stand for two weeks. Drain the syrup from the plums and add to the reserved vodka. Strain and pout into bottles, seal and store for six months.
