[FONT=&quot] sugar syrup made with 400g/14oz sugar and 1.5ltrs/ 2 ½ pts water cooled[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Fill a wide necked vessel with the ripe plums. Add the vodka, seal, and place in a dark place for four to six weeks. Drain off the vodka and reserve it. Fill the vessel of plums with the sugar or cold sugar syrup, the sugar draws all the alcohol out of the plums; let it stand for two weeks. Drain the syrup from the plums and add to the reserved vodka. Strain and pout into bottles, seal and store for six months.[/FONT]
